Bag Pack and Food Hamper Raffle took place at Super Value Supermarket, Morgan St, Waterford from December 21st – 24th 2004

This was a tremendous success. Our faithful volunteers and generous Super Value customers helped us to raise an incredible €9957 for Marfan Syndrome Research. We are grateful to the Manager and Staff at Super Value for facilitating our fundraiser. It was a labour of love.

A Luxury Food Hamper Raffle was held at Tesco Supermarket, Lisduggan, Waterford, on December 11th 2004

The amount raised was €810.

A Table Quiz took place at The Showboat, The Glen, Waterford on October 19th 2004 and it raised €722

We all had a successful and most enjoyable night at what is now an annual event. The competent quizmaster was Michael O’Brien who gives his time and expertise voluntarily. This is the second table quiz held at The Showboat, where there were twenty tables. The fundraiser was very well supported and as ever, thanks to all our loyal supporters.

St Senan’s Boys N.S. Kilmacow, County Kilkenny, held a very successful Bring and Buy Sale at their school on October 14th 2004 which raised the fantastic total of €455

The teachers, secretary, parents and pupils put in a tremendous effort and we are most grateful for their support. The teachers also bought a large number of The Marfans Research Foundation Christmas Cards. A big thank you to all.

A floodlit soccer summer league was also held on August 28th 2004

Kilmacow soccer team Torpedo Moscow managed by Ray Grant and Peter Walsh were finalists in the Summer League. The team generously donated a cheque for €880 to the Marfans Research Foundation.

The sponsored cycle on August 28th 2004 was a tremendous success and raised €6148

Marfans Research Foundation shared this Charity event with the Waterford Hospice Movement.

A big thank you to the Waterford Gardai, especially Garda Ned Hogan, and Garda Pat Doyle.

John Grace, Joe Cashin, Noel Walsh, Michael McGrath, Eddie, Sean, and James Howley, Mary Doyle and John Kelly took part in the cycle on behalf of our Charity.

The Marfans Research Foundation is really grateful to all who helped to make this fundraiser so successful. We all had great fun in participating and enjoyed ourselves in the process. The people of Waterford supported us generously and we appreciate it.

The Race Night at Kilcohan Park Greyhound Stadium held on July 2nd 2004 raised €8840

All had a most enjoyable and successful night. It was very well supported by punters and sponsors.
